We will start our tour very early in the morning to enjoy a beautiful sunrise at the El Yeso reservoir. An incomparable scenery with the surrounding mountains covered with a blanket of snow. It is the perfect backdrop to immortalize the moment with a good photograph.

Visit to the (reservoir) Embalse del Yeso by private Transportation + options: a la carte Lunch – Barbecue BBQ or horseback , choose your favorite one!

Once we get to the andean mountain range we´ll make a stop in San Jose to get Coffee and snacks, to get strength for the demanding trekking of 700 meters that take us to the viewpoint where it is possible to see the sky reflected on the reservoir waters.

An impressive landscape formed by turquoise color waters and the imposing Andes Mountains as a background.

Next, we head to the El Yeso waterfall, a 15-meter waterfall with a safe observation area. Here we will rest and, if you wish, you can take the opportunity to make your own picnic.

Later we will visit the Tinoco Tunnel, built in 1906, through which a small railroad used to connect the high bridge with the mining town of El Volcan.

We will sweeten our excursion with a visit to the original ice cream and chocolate shop La Casa de Chocolate, which stands out for its exquisite artisanal flavors and the architecture and sculptures that adorn the terrace and gardens.

After is possible to stop at “El Tinoco” Tunnel, built in 1906, which was used by a little train that joined Puente Alto with the miner camping of “El Volcan” will make our excursion sweeter with a visit to the original Ice cream and chocolate factory “La Casa de Chocolate” distinguished by its delicious craft flavors , the architecture and sculptures that ornament terraces and gardens.

Itinerary:

6:30 a.m. Departure from hotel or private home.

7:30 am Detention in the town of San Jose de Maipo, in this place attendees can buy what they need, or have breakfast.

To take into account:

Tour not suitable for people with mobility problems unless the family group omits the visit to the El Yeso reservoir.

A la carte lunch at the restaurant includes a maximum amount of $10,000 per person. Please note that gratuity to the waiters/waitresses in appreciation for their attention and good service is NOT included in the price.

Cajón del Maipo is a natural area with a very diverse and special climate. Tours may be modified or some of the points described may be reached when road or weather conditions do not allow it. This will be evaluated by the guide according to his experience. In the event that any of the attractions are omitted, a refund of 20% of the amount paid for the tour will be made.
